Continuing with catching up on sharing illustration work I’ve done, I’ve very much enjoyed working with Eidolon on illustrations for their articles. Subjects have ranged from zooarchaeological evidence for diets in classical Athens to classical tropes among football “ultras” to physical access issues at archaeological sites.
My favourite, though, was “Can you draw Saturn Devouring His Son but instead of his child, could he be eating a cupcake?”
As I say, I don’t do a lot of commission work, but the work I take, I enjoy!
It’s very much worth adding Eidolon to your list of regular reads. It’s a wonderfully insightful journal that tackles the hideous white supremacy crap that comes with Classics and does so with a light touch and an acerbic wit.
